Corn is currently up 2¢.
Soybeans are down 3¢.
CBOT and KC wheat are down 4¢. Minneapolis wheat is down a penny.
Live cattle are down 3¢. Lean hogs are down $1.08. Feeder cattle are down 8¢.
This morning USDA announced a new sale of 641,000 metric tons of corn to China for the 2022/2023 marketing year. This is the third day in a row new sales were announced.
The weekly exports report was also released. Net sales of corn for last week were reported at 1,236,200 metric tons for 2022/2023, within the expected range. This is down 13% from the previous week, but up 28% from the prior 4-week average, according to USDA.
Soybean exports were also reported within the expected range. According to USDA, net sales for last week were at 665,000 metric tons for 2022/2023. USDA says sales were up “noticeably from the previous week and from the prior 4-week average.”
Crude oil is down again today, currently by 74¢.
S&P 500 futures are down 14 points. Dow futures are down 193 points.
