Canada’s grain and oilseed exports fell 2%
From the start of the current season, which began on August 1, 2025, to March 29, 2026, Canada exported 33.5 million tonnes of grains, pulses, and oilseeds, down 2% from the same period last season, according to Zerno Online, citing the Canadian Grain Commission (CGC).
Canola exports fell to 5.3 million tonnes (-23% compared to the same period last season), and corn exports fell to 0.4 million tonnes (-73%).
At the same time, soft wheat exports increased to 14.5 million tonnes (+4%), durum wheat to 3.8 million tonnes (+4%), barley to 2.3 million tonnes (+70%), peas to 1.8 million tonnes (+24%), and lentils to 1.0 million tonnes (+20%).
3.6 million tons of soybeans were exported, the same as last season.
