Belarus and Poland are the top buyers of Ukrainian soybean meal
Soybean meal exports from Ukraine in September-June 2020/21 totaled 436.2 KMT (-30% y-o-y), UkrAgroConsult reports.
For the last two months, exports have been at a high level thanks to steadily large purchases by Belarus and Poland, which are the biggest importers.
Export potential in MY 2020/21 was raised to 470 KMT (-31% from MY 2019/20).
As before, the biggest importers are the EU with a 38% market share and Belarus with 34%. For the first time ever, MY 2020/21 witnessed soybean meal exports to Denmark.
Growth in exports was registered to the following markets: Germany (+452%), Moldova (+84%), Georgia (+33%).
A slowdown in exports was fixed to Turkey (-90%), Hungary (-57%) and Poland (-17%).
