Algeria announced a tender for the purchase of durum wheat
Algeria’s state grains agency OAIC has issued an international tender to purchase at least 50,000 tons of durum wheat of optional origin. Bids are due on April 15 and will remain valid until April 16. Shipments are scheduled for the second half of May and throughout June in several delivery windows.
Market participants note that the actual purchase volume may exceed the stated minimum, as Algeria often buys larger quantities than initially announced in its tenders. This highlights the country’s continued strong demand for imported wheat.
