Soybean planting in Brazil is ahead of last year’s pace
By October 16, Brazilian farmers had planted 24% of their planned soybean area, up from 18% on the same date a year earlier, according to the Zerno On-Line news agency, citing the consulting company AgRural.
Timely rains accelerated fieldwork in the Central-West region, where the planted area doubled in a week.
However, the pace of soybean planting nationwide is currently lower than two years ago. By the same date in 2023, soybeans had been planted on 30% of the planned area.
