Wheat reserves in Kazakhstan exceed 6 million tons
At the beginning of September, grain reserves in Kazakhstan amounted to 8.2 million tons, of which wheat – more than 6.2 million tons. This is reported by the Bureau of National Statistics.
Of the total volume of grain, food stocks amounted to more than 6.4 million tons, seeds – 208 thousand tons and fodder – 1.5 million tons.
There were about 5.4 million tons of food wheat in storage, 134 thousand tons in seed stocks, 743 thousand tons of fodder.
According to the statistical department, there are more than 2.8 million tons of grain in the storage facilities of agricultural producers, more than 2.2 million tons in elevators, more than 1.4 million tons in farms, and more than 155 thousand tons at wholesalers. Stocks of flour millers amounted to 814 thousand tons and 578.6 thousand tons at other legal entities.
Barley stocks exceeded 1.3 million tons: 631 thousand tons – food, almost 689 thousand tons – fodder and almost 49 thousand tons – seeds.
In addition, stocks of corn in Kazakhstan amounted to 59 thousand tons, rice – 31 thousand tons, rye – almost 41 thousand tons, oats – 113 thousand tons, buckwheat – 44 thousand tons.
