UZ Cargo Poland joined the Turkey-Ukraine-Poland connection
A subsidiary of JSC Ukrzaliznytsia — UZ Cargo Poland — has joined the organization of the Turkey-Ukraine-Poland connection.
“The first container train successfully passed through the territory of Ukraine, confirming the resumption of the international transport corridor between the Black Sea region and the EU,” the post notes.
UZ Cargo Poland, together with the branch of the “Transport Service Center “Lisky” of JSC Ukrzaliznytsia, ensured the organization of traffic, technical approvals at the 1520/1435 mm junction and the transfer of the train to the LHS line. It is emphasized that the transportation was carried out in accordance with the schedule and international transit requirements.
In the future, UZ Cargo Poland plans to expand the route by adding the service of transporting semi-trailers on railway platforms as part of intermodal trains. This will open up new opportunities for road carriers and contribute to the growth of transit transportation volumes between Ukraine, Turkey and EU countries.
As previously reported, Laude has launched an intermodal connection with Turkey via Ukraine.
