USDA forecasts sugar production in Ukraine at 1.49 mln tons
The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) forecasts that in the 2025/26 MY sugar production in Ukraine will amount to 1.49 million tons.
This is reported in the USDA report.
The indicator has not changed compared to the May forecast, but remains 310 thousand tons less than the production of the 2024/25 season.
At the same time, Ukrainian sugar exports are expected to be at the level of 701 thousand tons (+1 thousand tons compared to the May forecast). Ending stocks will amount to 679 thousand tons (unchanged).
Experts predict that world sugar production will amount to 189.259 million tons (-59 thousand tons compared to the previous estimate). Global trade is estimated at 66 million tons (+770 thousand tons).
