US Supplies Corn to Russia for the First Time Since 2022
In January, the United States resumed corn exports to Russia for the first time in nearly three years. American companies shipped corn worth $55,500 to Russia at the beginning of the year. This was the first delivery since March 2022, when Russia purchased $44,900 worth of corn from the US.
The United States is a major corn exporter, with January exports totaling $1.5 billion. The value of these exports increased by 31% over the past year. The largest importers of American corn at the start of the year were Mexico ($408 million), Japan ($324 million), and South Korea ($162 million).
