The United States Agriculture Department (USDA) raised its projection for beet sugar to 5.36 million tonnes versus 5.23 million tonnes in July, while increasing its view on cane sugar production to 4.15 million tonnes from 4.08 million tonnes previously.
United States sugar production to reach record
Production of sugar in the United States was projected on Monday to reach an all-time high at 9.51 million tonnes as farmers and sugar processors report very good yields for both beet and sugarcane, the USDA said on Monday.
