Ukroliyaprom expects reduction of total oilseed production in Ukraine next season
The total harvest of major oilseeds in Ukraine in 2024/25 MY may reach about 21 mln tonnes, which is 3.1% lower than the current season (21.68 mln tonnes). This forecast was announced by the association Ukroliyaprom.
In terms of individual crops, next season soybean production is expected to increase by 4.2% compared to the previous year – from 4.8 mln tons to 5 mln tons. At the same time, next season’s sunflower production may reach 12 mln tons, which is 4.8% less than last year’s harvest (2.6 mln tons). Also, rapeseed production may decline by 4.8%, from 4.28 mln tonnes in 2023/24 MY to 4 mln tonnes in the next season.
