Ukrainian ports handled over 90 mln tons of cargo since the beginning of the year
Between January and November this year, Ukrainian ports increased transshipment by 70%.
As of December 10, 2024, Ukrainian seaports handled 91.1 million tons of cargo, according to the Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority.
In January-November 2024, the actual volume of cargo transshipment amounted to 89.9 million tons, which is 70% more than in the same period last year (52.8 million tons).
The bulk of the cargo turnover for this period was grain – 56.1 million tons (against 39.4 million tons in 2023) and ore cargo – 16.7 million tons (against 3.2 million tons in 2023).
“A special role in the growth of transshipment is played by the Ukrainian sea corridor, through which 73.4 million tons of cargo were transported in 11 months, including 6.5 million tons in November,” the USPA said.
In total, in November, Ukrainian seaports handled 7.6 million tons of cargo (compared to 6.7 million tons in November 2023).
