Ukrainian farmers harvested 60.8 mln tons of grains and oilseeds
Ukraine has already harvested 67.3 million tons of new crops on an area of 17.7 million hectares. In total, 42.8 million tons of grain, 18 million tons of oilseeds and almost 6.5 million tons of sugar beet were harvested. In particular
- wheat – 4.9 million hectares (or 100%) were threshed, with a harvest of 22.3 million tons;
- barley – 1.4 million hectares (or 100%) were threshed, with a harvest of 5.5 million tons;
- peas – 212.2 thou hectares (or 100%) were harvested, with a total harvest of 465.3 thou tons;
- corn – 2.4 million hectares (or 59%) were harvested, with a total harvest of 13.2 million tons;
- millet – 84.4 thousand hectares (or 91%) were harvested, with a total harvest of 158.9 thousand tons;
- buckwheat – 86.3 thou hectares (or 97%) were harvested, with a total harvest of 124.8 thou tons;
- sunseed – 4.5 million hectares (or 91%) were harvested, with a total of 9.3 million tons of seeds harvested;
- soybeans – 2.3 million hectares (or 88%) were harvested, 5.2 million tons of seeds were harvested;
- rapeseed – 1.3 million hectares (or 100%), harvested 3.5 million tons of seeds.
In terms of gross grain harvest, the leaders are agricultural producers in Odesa region – 4.3 mln tonnes, Poltava region – 3.8 mln tonnes, and Vinnytsia region – 3 mln tonnes. In terms of grain yields, farmers in Khmelnytsky region are ahead with 6.77 t/ha, Bukovyna – 6.45 t/ha, Cherkasy – 6.1 t/ha, Ivano-Frankivsk – 6.03 t/ha, and Chernihiv – 6.0 c/ha.
Farmers in 14 regions are harvesting sugar beet.
