Ukrainian Alla Stoyanova named among FAO’s 100 women leaders
Ukrainian Alla Stoyanova has been named one of FAO’s 100 Women Heroes in Agrifood Systems and Rural Development.
Through this international recognition, the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations honors women whose work contributes to positive change in the agricultural sector and rural communities. The selection was conducted globally, with FAO receiving more than 600 nominations from over 131 countries. Alla Stoyanova was recognized for her leadership, dedication, innovative approach and practical work to strengthen agrifood systems and rural communities.
FAO emphasizes that her achievements are not only a personal accomplishment but also reflect Ukraine’s role in strengthening women’s leadership in agriculture — among farmers, entrepreneurs, innovators and changemakers. Her key areas of work include food security, rural development, community resilience and the creation of new economic opportunities.
We congratulate Alla Stoyanova on this international recognition. We are proud that Ukrainian agricultural professionals, despite the challenges of war, continue to demonstrate their strength and professionalism on the global stage.
