Ukraine will support the development of Syria’s agricultural sector
A delegation of government officials and high-ranking officials from Syria is on its first official visit to Ukraine.
This was announced by Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiga during the 4th International Conference on Food Security Food from Ukraine, recalling that he became the first European foreign minister to visit Syria after the overthrow of the Bashar al-Assad regime.
According to him, the trip was dictated by a principled approach: providing food assistance to those who need it most.
During a meeting with the Minister of Agriculture and Agrarian Reform of Syria, Amjad Badr, and the Minister of Emergencies and Disaster Relief, Raed al-Saleh, Andriy Sybiga confirmed Ukraine’s readiness to remain a reliable partner in supporting Syria’s food security and developing its agricultural sector.
“We focused on strengthening our bilateral dialogue and developing mutually beneficial cooperation in various areas. “I am grateful to my Syrian colleagues for this important solidarity visit and their willingness to develop our relations through practical projects and joint cooperation,” Sibiga concluded.
