Ukraine sows 4.7 mln ha of winter crops

Ukrainian farmers have already sown 4.75 million hectares of winter crops. Winter crops are being sown in all regions, with a total of almost 3.7 million hectares planted. Winter rape has been sown on 1 million hectares.
In particular
- winter wheat – 3.3 mln ha,
- winter barley – 331.7 thsd ha,
- winter rye – 51.6 thsd ha,
- winter rapeseed – 1 mln ha.
Among the leaders in terms of winter grain sowing are farmers of Poltava region – 224.5 thou hectares (90.3%), Ternopil region – 176 thou hectares (89.3%) and Khmelnytsky region – 213.2 thou hectares (88.8%). Farmers in 11 regions have completed sowing winter rapeseed.
