Ukraine’s grain stocks at the beginning of September were 10.1 mln tons higher than last year
As of September 1, stocks of grains and pulses in Ukraine totaled 24.6 mln tons, which was 10.1 mln tons higher than on the same date last year, according to the State Statistics Service.
Agricultural enterprises held 18.4 mln tons of grains and pulses, up 64.4% y/y. Another 6.2 mln tons were stored at storage and processing facilities, 88.4% more than a year earlier.
Wheat accounted for the largest stocks at 14.6 mln tons, up 31.6% from September 1, 2025. Barley stocks increased by 83.71% to 2.5 mln tons.
Corn stocks totaled 2.8 mln tons and more than doubled y/y. Rye stocks also rose 2.1 times to 166.9 thsd tons.
At the same time, stocks of major oilseeds were lower than last year. Soybean stocks stood at 363.5 thsd tons at the beginning of September, down 8.4% y/y, while sunflower stocks declined by 6.6% to 768.2 thsd tons.
