Ukraine slightly increased wheat exports in April

April’s wheat exports from Ukraine totaled 713.2 KMT (+2% from March and -41% from April 2019/20). A total 15.1 MMT has already been exported this season (down 20% y-o-y), UkrAgroConsult reports.
In April, after a four-month pause, Indonesia continued buying wheat from Ukraine (60.5 KMT). Morocco became the biggest importer in April (216.7 KMT).
The Philippines dropped off the list of the top 10 importers, replaced by Libya.
Traditional buyers reduced imports from the same time last year: Indonesia (-19%), Egypt (-36%), Bangladesh (-47%), Turkey (-47%), Tunisia (-24%), Yemen (-26%), Libya (-3%).
The following buyers stepped up purchases: Morocco and the EU.
