Ukraine received $11.8 billion from agricultural exports
This year, Ukraine in the first half of the year was able to export agricultural products worth $11.8 billion, which is 17% more than in the same period last year. This was reported in the Ukrainian Association of Agricultural Exports (UAAE).
The value of offal and meat exports was $439 million, down 4% from six months of 2022. Poultry brought in $392 million in revenue, down 10% from last year.
During this period, sales of dairy products abroad increased by 8% compared to last year and reached $95 million.
Key export positions:
dry and condensed milk – $37 million – 5% reduction,
dairy spreads and butter – $25 million – up 8%,
cheese – $19 million – an increase of 61%.
Revenues from honey exports decreased by 17%, amounting to about $60 million. According to experts, this is due to the constant decrease in the average price of the corresponding product on the market – up to $2,442 per ton.
“Also, positive changes are taking place in relation to foreign sales of eggs, of which almost 26 thousand tons were exported in the amount of 35 million dollars. These figures are not much less than for the whole of 2022. Although the export price for our suppliers has so far decreased – $1,352/ton or $35,152/container of 26 tons,” the experts noted.
