Ukraine launches farmers’ cooperative to export rapeseed duty-free
Ukraine has established the Agroiednist Ukraine agricultural cooperative, which brings farmers together to form larger export lots and gain direct access to foreign markets, including duty-free rapeseed exports. The cooperative was registered in June 2026 and was founded by more than 10 farming enterprises from different regions of Ukraine. It now has more than 200 active members.
The cooperative provides legal, financial and logistics support for exports. Farmers supply their crops for consolidation into larger lots and receive payment within 1–3 banking days. According to the cooperative’s management, membership is growing rapidly, with farmers from southern and eastern Ukraine showing particularly strong interest, while applications are also coming from central and northern regions.
Rapeseed is currently the cooperative’s main export product. Agroiednist Ukraine exports around 30 thsd tons of rapeseed per month on average. A similar model has also been established for soybean exports.
Crops can be purchased directly at elevators through ownership transfer arrangements or on FCA terms. Depending on logistics costs, cargoes are shipped to Odesa region, elevators in Central and Western Ukraine, or Poland. According to the cooperative, in some cases the price offered to farmers can be around UAH 1,000/t higher than offers from other companies, although the difference depends on market conditions, specific contracts and logistics.
To work through the cooperative, farmers must be verified in the State Agrarian Register, confirm their planted area and production volumes, and have VAT-payer status. The membership fee is UAH 3,000, with no monthly payments.
