Ukraine has increased the export of meat and grain to China
Exports of Ukrainian goods to China in January-October 2021 increased by 20% compared to the same period last year and amounted to 12% of all Ukrainian exports. This was reported by the press service of the State Service for Food Safety and Consumer Protection.
The largest growth was observed for meat and edible offal – 164%. For grain, the growth was 46%, for vegetables – 25%.
Export to China is just as interesting for Ukrainian producers and exporters as it is difficult to open new positions. Today, an increase in supplies to the export direction of the PRC is one of the priorities for the state, ”said Vladislava Magaletskaya, Chairman of the State Food and Consumer Service.
Today, China is the leader in the number of commodity items for which the State Food Service is working to open markets for Ukrainian manufacturers. This list includes flour, fish and fish products, eggs and egg products, wheat, rapeseed, sorghum, soybean meal, apples, blueberries, poultry meat, peas, beans, cherries, pet food, malt, mixed feed for farm animals, poultry and fish, beef collagen casings, frozen semi-finished products containing products of animal origin, vegetable origin and/or processed products of animal origin, cereals, raspberries.
In the near future, the start of the next stage of opening the export of fresh blueberries to China is expected, which provides for a review of the conditions for the production of this berry in a remote online format, as well as the approval of documents on the opening of markets for poultry meat, peas and blueberries.
The State Food and Consumer Service, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Ministry of Economy are working together to open new markets for Ukrainian exports, providing support to producers and removing technical barriers to trade, as well as providing government guarantees of compliance with the requirements of partner countries.
