Ukraine. Grain cargoes showed the greatest decrease in river shipments
2.46 MMT of grain was transported in Ukraine along the Dnipro River from January to September 2020, or 26.8% less than at the same time last year (3.36 MMT). Moreover, this is the greatest decline among all cargo types. Overall, the volume of river transportation this year had totaled 7.4 MMT, or 10.7% less than a year earlier. Grains accounted for 33.2% in total shipments, UkrAgroConsult reports.
