The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has allocated UAH 420 million to provide humanitarian aid to Ethiopia and Somalia. This is stated in the relevant resolution of the CMU (No. 1040 of September 16), published on the Government portal.
According to the document, the government allocated UAH 420 million to the Ministry of Internal Affairs (for the State Emergency Service) to reimburse the cost of wheat grain (not lower than 3rd grade) in the amount of up to 50,000 tons for the purpose of providing humanitarian aid to the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia and the Federal Republic of Somalia.
Assistance will be provided at the expense of wheat grain owned by JSC “State Food and Grain Corporation of Ukraine”. The State Emergency Service will reimburse the SFGCU for the cost of grain on FOB terms at the average market price for Black Sea ports.
