The barley will be delivered to the ports of Iskenderun, Adana, Mersin, Izmir, Bandirma, Tekirdag, Samsun, and Trabzon. Planned volumes include 25,000 tons each for Iskenderun, Adana, Mersin, Izmir, and Bandirma, 10,000 tons for Tekirdag, and 20,000 tons each for Samsun and Trabzon.
In addition, TMO will hold another international tender on March 16 to purchase 280,000 tons of feed corn. Shipments are scheduled for March 25–April 10, with deliveries planned to the ports of Izmir, Karasu/Derince, Bandirma, and Samsun.
Traders said the tender allows participation of corn that is either being imported into Turkey or already stored in customs warehouses. However, corn of Turkish origin is not eligible to participate in the tender.
