Turkey launches tender to buy 12 thsd tons of sunflower oil
Turkey’s state agency TMO has launched a tender to purchase 12 thsd tons of crude sunflower oil for delivery between September 21 and October 16. The product is to be delivered to the ports of Mersin or Iskenderun, with bids due by September 10.
The tender comes amid a stable sunflower oil market in Turkey. Ukrainian sunflower oil for September shipment was offered at around $1,410 per tonne CIF Mersin, while buyer interest remained limited.
TMO’s previous tender for sunflower oil was held in April. At that time, the agency provisionally booked 12 thsd tons at around $1,417 per tonne CFR, only slightly above current offers for Ukrainian sunflower oil in Mersin.
