Trump expects great meeting with Xi Jinping: Many problems will be solved
Trump spoke about expectations from the meeting with Xi Jinping US President Donald Trump expects to resolve “many issues” during a meeting with Chinese leader Xi Jinping on easing the trade war, in particular the resumption of US soybean exports to China.
According to Trump, he expects that their first personal meeting during his second term in office, which is scheduled for Thursday, will lead to a reduction in tariffs imposed on China, as well as the lifting of restrictions on the supply of US soybeans – a key US export product that has suffered from trade barriers.
“I think we will have a great meeting with President Xi of China, and a lot of issues will be resolved,” the US leader said.
He added that he was optimistic.
“We have been negotiating with them (China. – Ed.), we do not go into a meeting unprepared… I think we will get a very good result for our country and, in fact, for the whole world,” Trump said.
