The pea harvest in Ukraine will fall by 43%

Zaporizhzhia region is the largest producer of peas: in 2021, 27% of the total land in Ukraine was sown with peas.
This was reported by UkrAgroConsult grain market analyst Maryna Marynych during the webinar “War in Ukraine. Grain & Oilseed Crop Forecast-2022”.
“In 2021/2022, the production of peas amounted to 578 million tons, this season we forecast a decrease in production by 43%, that is, to 250 million tons. As for the yield, it will drop from 2.2 to 2 tons/ha,” — the analyst notes.
