The fourth vessel chartered by the UN entered the Ukrainian port
The bulk carrier BC VANESSA, chartered by the UN World Food Program (WFP), entered the port of Odesa to load 30,000 tons of wheat. This grain is intended for the population of Afghanistan, which is suffering from a food crisis. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine.
During the implementation of the Initiative on the safe transportation of agricultural products, 0.65 million tons of food have already gone to African countries.
The government of Ukraine also decided to provide up to 50,000 tons of wheat as part of humanitarian aid to the population of Ethiopia and Somalia.
In general, since the start of the Initiative’s implementation, Ukrainian ports have left 169 ships with 3.9 million tons of agricultural products.
It will be recalled that an agreement was reached on the unblocking of the ports of “Odesa”, “Chornomorsk” and “Pivdenny”. We also wrote that Ukraine will receive about 1 billion dollars. monthly from port unblocking.
