Spain boosts cucumber exports to a record of nearly 400 thsd tons
Spain exported a record 397.58 thsd tons of cucumbers in the first half of 2026, up 24.9% compared with the same period in 2017.
The value of exports reached €698.48 mln. The average export price stood at €1.76/kg, compared with €1.01/kg nine years earlier.
Almería remained the leading exporting region, accounting for 293.24 thsd tons, or 73.76% of Spain’s total cucumber exports. The value of shipments from the region reached €508.54 mln.
Granada ranked second with exports of 29.84 thsd tons, while Valencia shipped 18.81 thsd tons. Valencia recorded the highest average export price among the main regions at €2.14/kg.
Murcia posted the strongest growth in recent years, with cucumber exports rising more than 2.5 times to 16 mln kg in the first half of 2026.
