Sowing in Ukraine is approaching the equator
As of October 7, 2025, Ukrainian farmers have sown 3.557 mln ha of winter crops. This is almost 50% of the projected area. Winter grain is sown in all regions of Ukraine.
In particular, the following were sown:
- winter wheat – 2.346 mln ha;
- winter barley – 179 thsd ha;
- winter rye – 45.7 thsd ha.
Among the leaders in grain crops are Kirovohrad, Mykolaiv and Poltava regions.
Winter rapeseed has been sown on 985.3 tha ha. Most of it is in Vinnytsia, Khmelnytsia and Mykolaiv regions. Currently, farmers in 13 regions have completed sowing winter rapeseed.
