Solution for the de-blockade of the border with Poland will be found by the end of April

Ukraine and Poland will work out a joint solution for opening the movement of cargo transport across the border by the end of this month. This forecast was made by First Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food Taras Vysotskyy on TV air.

“The negotiations that were in Poland, and further, which continue online between our ministries and associations, show that it will still be possible to find some solution by the end of this month, which would allow to completely remove these problems on the border,” – he said.

Vysotskyy noted that the recent agreement of the European Union institutions to extend duty-free trade with Ukraine shows that there is a common vision in many directions.

“There is still a discussion on wheat and corn. But again, exports to Poland are now banned, while licensing has been introduced on the Ukrainian side, which will be in effect until the end of the calendar year.

Given these facts, there is hope to come to a certain agreement within April and provide the possibility of free access of Ukrainian agricultural products to the European consumer,” he said.
