Saudi Arabia’s General Food Security Authority (GFSA) purchased 661 thsd tons of milling wheat in an international tender held last week. The contracted grain is scheduled for delivery in September–October 2026 in 11 separate consignments.

The tender accepted wheat from the EU, the Black Sea region, North and South America, and Australia. This helped attract a broad range of international suppliers and secure competitive prices.

The largest volumes will be delivered to the ports of Jeddah and Yanbu. Jeddah is expected to receive four cargoes totaling 244 thsd tons from Holagri, Cargill, and Olam at prices ranging from $268.21 to $271.45/t C&F.

Yanbu will receive six cargoes totaling 362 thsd tons. Supplies will be delivered by Holagri, Aston, Bunge, GrainCorp Ameropa, and Cargill. Contract prices range from $267.72 to $269.90/t C&F.

Another 55 thsd tons will be delivered to the port of Jizan by Holagri at $272.75/t C&F. The tender results confirm Saudi Arabia’s steady demand for imported wheat and strong competition among global exporters.
