Saudi Arabia issue tender to import 480,000 tons of wheat
The General Food Security Authority (GFSA) announced the issuance of the first tender for importing wheat this year — 480,000 tons for supply during July-August 2023.
GFSA Governor Eng. Ahmed bin Abdulaziz Al-Faris said the tender comes within the framework of the GFSA plan to maintain strategic stocks of wheat and to meet the needs of milling companies.
He added that the quantity of wheat will be delivered by eight ships: 3 ships each through Jeddah Islamic Port and Yanbu Commercial Port, and 2 ships through King Abdulaziz Port in Dammam.
