Russia. Imposed export duty will more than half 2020/21 season’s sunseed shipments
Sunflower seed exports from Russia in September-June 2020/21 totaled 552.1 KMT (down 55% y-o-y).
The shipments slumped because of raising the tariff for sunseed exports outside the EAEU to 30% (from January till the season’s end) that minimized export deliveries, UkrAgroConsult reports.
The top importer this season is the EU due to boosted deliveries to Bulgaria in the first four months of the season. Overall exports to EU countries fell by 39%.
Growth in exports was registered to the following markets: Azerbaijan (+104%), China (+5%).
The following countries slashed exports: Romania (-86%), Kazakhstan (-75%) and Turkey (-73%).
