Qatar, through FAO, provided Ukraine with a $10 mln grant for rural communities affected by the war
The Qatar Fund for Development (QFFD) has signed a $10 million grant agreement with the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) to support the rehabilitation of rural communities in Ukraine affected by landmines and the consequences of Russian aggression. The Embassy of Ukraine in Qatar reports.
The project aims to improve the lives of over 3,500 Ukrainians through the restoration and sustainable management of agricultural lands. This initiative will strengthen food security, increase resilience to climate change, and contribute to the long-term sustainability of Ukraine’s agricultural sector.
At this critical moment, Qatar’s support is a significant contribution to Ukraine’s humanitarian recovery and helps communities return to life on land that has once again become safe.
The Embassy noted that Ukraine deeply appreciates Qatar’s strategic solidarity and partnership with FAO, united in promoting the recovery, resilience, and dignity of Ukrainian communities.
