Price of Romanian sunseed is USD 100/mt above last year

In October sharp rise in sunseed prices was noted in Romania. In October 4-11 average price for Romanian sunseed reached USD 530/mt FOB Constanta, which is almost USD 100/mt higher than last year.
Some of the farmers reported that the yield fell seven times compared to the previous season (average of 3.3-3,5 mt/ha and now 0.5 mt/ha).
