Polish farmers resume blockade of Medyka-Shehyni checkpoint
Polish farmers have once again blocked truck traffic in front of the Medyka-Shehyni checkpoint.
“According to the information available from Polish border guards, today at around 09:00, on the road in front of the Medyka checkpoint adjacent to the Ukrainian Shehyni checkpoint, the blocking of traffic for trucks resumed in Poland. In this regard, traffic may be hampered both when leaving Poland and when entering.”
It is reported that about 800 trucks are currently waiting to enter Ukraine on the territory of Poland in this direction. At the same time, the organizers of such actions in Poland stated that they did not plan to interfere with the movement of buses and cars.
It is reported that Ukrainian border guards are currently taking measures to monitor the situation, clarify cooperation with Polish colleagues on the procedure for further passage of trucks and the category of cargo to be allowed across the border.
According to Polish media, the protest is expected to last until February 3.
