Pace of Ukrainian grain exports at the beginning of the season is 80% higher than last year
The volume of grain and pulses crops exports from Ukraine in the 2026/27 MY as of July 8 is almost 713 thousand tons, which is 80% more than the previous season. This is evidenced by the data of the State Customs Service. The exceptionally high growth rate is largely attributable to the very low level of export activity at the beginning of the previous marketing year.
Thus, 381 thousand tons of wheat were exported (+72%).
Barley and rye have not yet been supplied to foreign markets.
331 thousand tons of corn were exported, which is 32% more than shipments last season.
At the same time, flour exports from Ukraine amounted to 0.2 thousand tons, which is 88% less than last year’s figure.
For reference: in the MY 2025/26, grain and pulses crops exports amounted to 37.5 million tons. Of these: wheat – 14.1 million tons; barley – 1.5 million tons; rye – 0.2 thousand tons; corn – 21.3 million tons; flour – 62.1
