Kazakhstani oilseed processing companies disagree with the size of the sunoil export quota
Kazakhstan introduces export quotas for sunflower seed and sunflower oil at 15 KMT and 32 KMT per month, respectively, for the period from September 6, 2021 until February 1, 2022.
The National Association of Oilseed Сrushers of Kazakhstan suggests revising the size of the allocated quotas for sunflower oil and sunflower meal established by the Kazakhstani Ag Ministry’s order No. 246 of August 20, 2021 “On some issues of the export of certain goods from the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan.”
According to the Association’s calculations, in case if sunflower oil exports get limited by a 32 KMT quota, the domestic market will face a surplus of sunflower oil at 103-115 KMT and that of sunflower meal/oilcake at 150-164 KMT from September 2021 until January 2022, UkrAgroConsult reports.
The Association has suggested the Ag Ministry of Kazakhstan to increase the export quotas to 71-82 KMT for sunflower oil and 101-115 KMT for sunflower meal. The quotas are designed for the period of from September 2021 until January 2022.
