Kazakhstan may export 1 mln tons of grain to Egypt

Kazakhstan is ready to export 1 million tons of grain to Egypt and increase the volume if necessary. This was stated by the Minister of Agriculture of Kazakhstan Aidarbek Saparov during a meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Egypt to Kazakhstan Hassan Ibtissam Rakha Ahmed.
“The share of agricultural products in the total trade turnover with Egypt is low, and the potential to increase the volume of mutually beneficial supplies of agricultural products is not fully utilized. We need to step up our efforts. In 2024, thanks to the measures taken and compliance with agricultural technologies, we harvested a record grain crop. We are ready to export up to 1 million tons of grain to Egypt, and increase the volume of supplies if necessary,” the Minister said.
Hassan Ibtissam Rakha Ahmed said that representatives of the Mostakbal Misr agency would soon arrive in Kazakhstan to study this issue in detail.
The meeting also discussed the possibility of jointly building warehouses for storing wheat and grain crops.
