Kazakhstan boosted flour exports in March
108 KMT was exported in March (+28% from February and +49% from March 2019/20). This season’s exports totaled 1.09 MMT (+21% y-o-y, -15% from the five-year average).
In MY 2020/21, the list of export destinations for Kazakh flour shrank to six importers, but it is still topped by Afghanistan and Uzbekistan with a combined share of some 94%, UkrAgroConsult reports.
Half the buyers stepped up imports from last year: Afghanistan (+8%), Uzbekistan (+11%), China (+ 45%).
Other importers reduced flour purchases from Kazakhstan compared to last year: Tajikistan (-41%), Turkmenistan (-24%), Moldova (-52%).
