Jordan purchases 60 thsd tons of feed barley at international tender
Jordan has purchased 60,000 tons of feed barley at an international tender held on July 8. Trading house Louis Dreyfus won the tender with the lowest offer of $252.6/t CFR Aqaba, with shipment scheduled for September 1–15.
Eight international trading companies participated in the tender. CHS offered $255.38/t, Ameropa $255.45/t, Cofco $257.50/t, Olam $258/t, Bunge $259.69–261.69/t, Cargill $263.66/t, while Al-Ghurair submitted the highest offer at $353.90/t.
Jordan is expected to hold its next international feed barley tender in about two weeks.
