Jordan cancels barley tender and launches new one
Jordan’s state grain buyer made no purchases in an international tender for 120,000 metric tons of feed barley that closed on Wednesday. According to European traders, the only offer came from trading house CHS, but no deal was concluded.
It was later reported that Jordan effectively canceled the tender and issued a new one for the same volume — 120,000 tons of barley. The country is again seeking supplies of feed grain with shipment expected in August.
The new purchasing round sets a deadline for price offers on May 20. Traders expect the delivery terms to remain unchanged from the previous tender, with a continued focus on August shipments.
