In September, shipments of wheat from Ukraine increased to 2 million tons
The leader in September in terms of supplies remains corn – 2.3 million tons. Such indicators of shipments of this culture are connected with the fact that there are many leftovers from last year in Ukraine. However, the share of corn this month is no longer as large compared to wheat as it was in August, when wheat shipments were less than corn by 1 million tons. The share of wheat in September is actually 2 million tons, which is 1.2 million tons more than in August, but 57% less than last year for the same period, reports the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.
In total, almost 8 million tons of corn and 3.4 million tons of wheat were exported from Ukraine since the beginning of the war.
The third position in terms of shipment volume is occupied by rapeseed – 887 thousand tons, which is 42.4% more than in August and 1% more than in September 2021.
The sunflower oil index for September compared to August increased by 46% and reached 569,000 tons. And this is also twice as much as last year.
397,000 tons of barley were shipped, which is 190,000 more than in August, but almost 600,000 tons less than in September last year.
During the first month of autumn, the percentage of export of meal increased – 391 thousand tons against 286 thousand tons in August. Soybean supply figures also increased – 240,000 tons, which is twice as much as compared to August.
The general picture of the amount of agricultural products that actually crossed the border of Ukraine, in percentages for September, is as follows: 32.9% is planted with corn, 27.76% – wheat, 2.96% – sunflower seeds, 8.25% – sunflower oil, 5.69 % – meal, barley – 5.79%, rapeseed – 12.77%, soybeans – 3.5%, soybean oil – 0.37%.
The total volume of shipments for 7 months in terms of crops: 7.9 million tons – corn (41.04%); 3.4 million tons – wheat (17.75%); 1.7 million tons – sunflower seeds (8.84%); 1.9 million tons – sunflower oil (9.76%); 1.6 million tons – rapeseed (8.21%); 1.081 million tons – meal (5.57%); 741 thousand tons – soybeans (3.82%), 843 thousand tons – barley (4.35%); 126,000 tons of soybean oil (0.65%).
