In response to the Polish strikes, Ukrainian carriers are preparing actions at three border crossings
On February 20, Ukrainian carriers will launch a peaceful protest at three border crossing points with Poland: Rava-Ruska – Hrebenne, Krakivets – Korczowa, and Shehyni-Medyka.
This was reported by Volodymyr Mykhalevych, head of the International Road Carriers of Ukraine (URCA) NGO.
“The purpose of the peaceful assembly is to protest against the blocking of freight traffic, which began in November 2023, which causes significant financial losses for the international road transport industry of Ukraine, exporters and importers of both countries, the Ukrainian economy and, ultimately, undermines Ukraine’s defense capabilities under martial law.
The situation with the blockade has not yet been resolved at the level of ministries, governments and presidents of Ukraine and Poland, so we are forced to take such actions,” said Mikhalevich.
