Houthis stop attacks on commercial vessels in the Red Sea
Yemeni Houthi leader Abdul-Malik al-Houthi, amid the signing of a ceasefire agreement in Gaza, has ordered his Ansar Allah fighters to stop attacks on Israel and vessels affiliated with the Jewish state in the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden.
This was reported by the Arab news resource Middle East Eye, citing sources in the Saudi government.
It is noted that the cessation of attacks will be in effect as long as Israel adheres to the ceasefire agreement, which the Houthis will closely monitor.
It is emphasized that Ansar Allah will continue to support the Palestinians in everything.
Since the escalation of the confrontation between Israel and Hamas in the Gaza Strip following the brutal attack by Palestinian militants on Israeli cities on October 7, 2023, the Yemeni Houthis have repeatedly attacked Israeli-linked commercial vessels in the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden in solidarity with the Palestinians.
