Harvesting is over in Ukraine
As of 20 December, agriproducers in Ukraine harvested 106.8 mln t of main crops on 24.48 mln ha, 98% of the projected area. The average yield of grains and pulses as of the reporting date stood at 5.36 t/ha.
Crop progress in Ukraine as of the reporting date:
- wheat (winter and spring): 32.44 mln t on 7 mln ha (100% of the total area), using the average yield of 4.59 t/ha
- barley (winter and spring): 9.87 mln t on 2.45 mln ha (100%), 4 t/ha
- rapeseed: 2.9 mln t on 1.01 mln ha (100%), 2.86 t/ha
- sunflower: 16.29 mln t on 6.5 mln ha (99%), 2.51 t/ha
- peas: 581.46 thou. t on 240.4 thou. ha (100%), 2.42 t/ha
- sugar beet: 10.62 mln t on 222.7 thou. ha (100%), 46.99 t/ha
- corn: 40 mln t on 5.35 mln ha (98%), 7.47 t/ha
- soybean: 3.43 mln t on 1.28 mln ha (100%), 2.68 t/ha
- millet: 190.87 thou. t on 77.86 thou. ha (100%), 2.45 t/ha
- buckwheat: 109.59 thou. t on 84.21 thou. ha (100%), 1.3 t/ha
The highest average yield of grains was reported by the producers of Khmelnytsky region — 8.71 t/ha.
Regions having harvested the biggest crop as of 20 December:
- Vinnytsya: 6.72 mln t
- Chernihiv: 6.18 mln t
- Poltava: 5.69 mln t
Sunflower average yield in Khmelnytsky region reached 3.43 t/ha, the best indicator in Ukraine. 20 regions of Ukraine have completed the sunflower campaign.
The USDA projects corn production in Ukraine at 40 mln t in 2021/22.
Winter crops sowing in Ukraine as of 8 November was 94% completed.
