Last night, the bulk carrier NEGMAR CICEK was moored in the port of Chornomorsk, and as of 08:00 on March 20, 7,000 tons of Ukrainian wheat were loaded onto it.

This is the sixth vessel under the #GrainFromUkraine program, which aims to provide Ukrainian wheat to countries suffering from hunger.

More than 30 countries and institutions have already joined the program, which was initiated by Volodymyr Zelenskyy and is being implemented with the support of the UN World Food Program. In particular, the provision of humanitarian wheat for Yemen was made possible thanks to donations from the governments of the United States, France and Spain.

As part of #GrainFromUkraine, the most vulnerable countries in Africa – Somalia, Ethiopia, and Kenya – have already received 140 thousand tons of wheat.

Under the auspices of WFP, Ethiopia will receive another 30 thousand tons of Ukrainian wheat. Loading of the bulk carrier DENIZ M has begun in the port of Odesa.

Today, 3 vessels with 154 thousand tons of agricultural products for Asia and Europe left the ports of Greater Odesa. Since August 1, 828 vessels have left the ports of Greater Odesa, exporting 25.1 million tons of Ukrainian food to Asia, Europe and Africa.

Further logistics developments in the Black Sea region and globally will be discussed by UkrAgroConsult analysts and leading agribusiness operators at the international agro event EURO GRAIN HUB Exchange & Forum on April 26-28 in Bucharest, Romania. Join the key stakeholders from the Black Sea region, Central & Eastern Europe and Balkans, contributing to the global commodity supply chain.
