Grain that Polish protesters poured out of the railroad car was in transit and was going to Germany – Solsky

The corn that Polish protesters poured out of a railroad car near the Medyka checkpoint was in transit to Germany. This was announced by the Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine Mykola Solsky.
“Ukraine strongly condemns such forms of protest that are currently taking place on the Polish-Ukrainian border. The corn that the Polish protesters threw out of the railroad car was going to Germany. Ukraine does not export corn to Poland,” emphasized Mr. Solsky.
He added that hindering Ukraine’s trade with other countries is unacceptable and contradicts the common Ukrainian-Polish goals.
The State Border Guard Service reported that Polish strikers have begun to restrict traffic on the border with Ukraine. Thus, they completely blocked the movement of trucks through the Medyka-Shehyni checkpoint for an indefinite period of time.
As previously reported, on February 20, Polish farmers blocked the railroad near Medyka-Shehyni. They opened a railroad car and spilled Ukrainian grain on the tracks.
