German farmers plant less winter wheat and rapeseed for 2024 crop
Germany’s winter wheat sown area for the 2024 harvest has been reduced by 7.3% on the year to some 2.60 million hectares, Germany’s national statistics agency estimated on Friday.
German farmers have also reduced winter rapeseed sowings for the 2024 crop by 4.7% to some 1.11 million hectares, the agency said.
